A private email service
mailingest runs email for pablofr.com and the projects of its owner. It is not a public service: there are no sign-ups, and every domain on it belongs to the operator.
What it does
- Receives and stores mail for the operator's own domains, reachable over IMAP, POP3 and an API.
- Sends transactional email from those domains: account notices, security codes, replies and messages written by their users.
- Hosts calendars and contacts (CalDAV and CardDAV) for the same mailboxes.
- Powers the temporary inboxes of buzontemporal.com.
Newsletters
The platform includes contact lists and newsletters, but they are not in use. If they are ever used, they will only reach people who confirmed their subscription by email, and every message will carry a one-click unsubscribe link.
How sending is kept clean
- Every sending domain is verified with SPF, DKIM and DMARC before its first message.
- Bounces and spam complaints are processed automatically, and those addresses are never mailed again.
- Unsubscribe requests are honored at once (RFC 8058 one-click).
- Sending limits start low and grow with each domain's history; sending pauses on its own if bounces or complaints rise.
- No purchased, rented or scraped lists, ever.
